CA Global: Power and Energy (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Sales Manager (Renewable Energy / Solar Power / Water heating). The position will be based in Southern Africa.
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing a distribution channel to ensure that the Company meets or exceeds its sales targets, while effectively managing the sales division.
Previous experience in the solar renewable energy field
Relevant qualification (B.Com Degree preferable)
· Technical / Engineering experience essential
· Sales Management Experience
Proven sales track record
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Good communication skills in English & Afrikaans
Team player, Sound decision making skills
Attention to detail
Own vehicle and valid driver’s license essential
Must be prepared to travel
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Prospect and develop new and existing business opportunities on a national level, in line with the company’s business objectives and market entry strategies.
Grow the client base and increase market share and revenue.
Build and maintain client relationships, critical partnerships and industry networks.
Manage the financial efficiencies, such as budget forecasting, understanding volume potential, margin potential and cost to revenue ratios to gauge the suitability of new business (i.e. identifying and chasing the right kind of business)
Manage the sales division.
Appoint suitable sales staff and other subordinates as required, in order to continuously increase sales.
