The Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) is a world renown, people centred infrastructural programme with a specific focus on development. To date, the Programme, through the Independent Power Producers (IPPs), has delivered meaningful poverty alleviation projects to various disadvantaged communities across South Africa to the tune of approximately R1 billion.
The African Utility Week has offered a rare opportunity to the Programme to show-case the value creation that it has delivered at the grass-root level, by allowing the beneficiaries of the Programme, to not only attend the event, but to speak for themselves on how it has transformed and empowered them to live positively and to harness their full potential.
