Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) Summit 2025 is set to host 13 heads of state, policymakers, business leaders, and technology pioneers in a groundbreaking event aimed at accelerating the global shift to a sustainable economy. Under the theme “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” the summit will explore innovative pathways to harness advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), to achieve a resilient and prosperous future for all.
A Gathering of Global Leaders
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the ADSW Summit will take place from January 14-15, bringing together over 140 ministers and government officials alongside prominent figures in business and technology. Participating heads of state include leaders from Albania, Azerbaijan, Finland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Uganda, and Uzbekistan.
Driving Sustainable Progress
His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar described the event as a pivotal moment for addressing interconnected global challenges.
“ADSW 2025 invites participants to discover socioeconomic opportunities and innovative solutions to drive sustainable progress and unlock transformative possibilities for a better tomorrow,” he said.
The summit will host 34 sessions featuring over 70 speakers, fostering dialogue on topics such as energy systems transformation, the role of AI in climate action, and ensuring water and food security.
Unlocking a $10 Trillion Opportunity
The summit’s agenda aims to unlock a potential $10 trillion economic transformation by leveraging emerging technologies and global collaboration. Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, highlighted the importance of this platform:
“The ADSW Summit will catalyze systemic change by amplifying diverse voices and driving interconnected solutions for energy, economies, and the environment.”

Key figures such as H.E. Razan Al Mubarak, President of IUCN; Catherine MacGregor, CEO of Engie; Greg Jackson, CEO of Octopus Energy; and Øyvind Eriksen, President of Aker ASA, will share insights on sustainable innovation.

Reflecting its commitment to sustainability, ADSW 2025 will be powered by clean energy. Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) will provide Clean Energy Certificates covering 305 MW of energy consumption.
