The period from 2011 onwards in South Africa has seen the drive towards reducing the
energy deficit of the country through sourcing from Independent Power Producers (IPP’s),
who have and are participating in the bidding process tendered out by the South African
Government. The IPP’s will sell electricity directly to Eskom through the current grid
structure primarily owned by Eskom.
However, electricity is required by ALL South Africans. At CAPEAFRICA we will lead grid tied and off-grid electricity generation projects to the rural areas, decentralized areas and to communities away from the grid. These projects will be jointly undertaken with the
community, municipalities & localized businesses.’
