A wind resource assessment and design of horizontal axis wind turbine rotor. 

5 – 8 June, 2012 in Johannesburg 
Zenith Energy, in conjunction with Dr Alexandre Costa, researcher from the Wind Energy Unit, division of Renewable Energy, CIEMAT, Spanish Ministry of Science & Technology and Innovation are presenting brand new Wind Energy courses to South African wind energy professionals, specifically developed to assist in understanding how wind power can be implemented effectively in all sectors of industry.


 

The workshop is oriented to professionals (with/without previous knowledge on wind energy), the main objective being to capacitate the fundamental concepts on wind behaviour, as well as to train participants concerning different methodologies for the wind resource assessment and designing of horizontal Axes Turbine Rotor.

These courses will allocate time for delegates to discuss the challenges they experience and foresee with wind energy project, viability and design, as well as to evaluate current projects that have not been seen through to fruition. Material will be provided.

Delegates will also be assisted in identifying viable new wind energy projects ideal for their requirements.
