Southern African distributor wanted.

Watalys is a small portable device which enables the production of a chlorine-based solution.

Watalys Solar Kit will provide safe water for 100 to 6000 people, autonomously, solar powered. In the solar kit is included 1 Watalys device, 1 solar panel 85W with wires, a kit to test generated chlorine and free residual chlorine in treated water.

Watalys is a point of use generation of sodium hypochlorite. It is a lightweight portable device (13.5 cm – 176 grams) designed for 12V field operations.
Sodium hypochlorite is the solution provided by Watalys acting as a powerful disinfectant used for water potabilization and disinfection.
One Watalys device provides safe water for 100 to 6,000 people everyday for several years. Besides, the innovative design enables simple and efficient upward scalability, pushing the upper capacity limit to a theoretical infinite population.
Watalys use leading edge technology titan electrodes with sophisticated proprietary coating which provide an utmost Cl
2 production yield. Under nominal conditions, one device generates up to 14 grams Cl2 per hour. It is robust and has been developed with the field constrains as key technical specifications. It operates on car battery, solar panel or any ad hoc 12V DC source. No maintenance is required other than rinsing with clear water.
Watalys is well designed and well suited for NGO´s and institutions dealing with health, potabilization and sanitation.

Water for human consumption should be either physical-chemical as bacteriological safe.

– Physical: water should be transparent, without any turbidity nor colour or odour.
– Chemical: it should have the right dissolved salts content and an absence of harmful products.
– Bacteriological: the presence and growth of specific micro-organisms affecting human health should be controlled.

Therefore, drinking water treatments should be aimed at reaching these three levels, once achieved; water will be suitable for human consumption.
Natural water can be non-drinkable due to one, two or three of the levels mentioned, thus the target potabilization treatments should have is to work out the foresaid levels, preventing them to occur while in storage and /or distribution.
