The City of Cape Town price is R1.29 per kWh in July 2012 whilst the own production price is close to R1.20 per kWh.
I have added the purple Eskom selling price line to show when we can produce cheaper than Eskom can sell!!!
And due to requests I have added in future projections. Article in the Newspaper on Thursday said Eskom wants to double their prices by 2017. I’ve taken the green (own production) line down at only 10% per annum although I expect it to continue decreasing faster than this.”
