The debut of DPE- Distributed Power Europe
.From 5th to 8th November, simultaneously with Ecomondo

Rimini, 15th April 2019 – From renewable sources to storage systems, efficient energy management to digital technology and the mobility of the future, the thirteenth edition of Key Energy, IEG Italian Exhibition Group´s international fair for renewable energy, being held from 5th to 8th November at Rimini Expo Centre, confirms its role as one of the sector´s reference points in Europe and the Mediterranean area.
And for 2019 it is enriching its offer with a new appointment: DPE- Distributed Power Europe, the international event dedicated to power generation.

The expo for all renewable energy – The strong point of Key Energy is its very large offer: Rimini will host Key Wind, the only wind energy expo for wind energy in the Mediterranean Basin, Balkans and Middle East; Key Solar and Key Storage, with all the technology and solutions for solar power and energy storage; Key Efficiency, dedicated to energy efficiency, cogeneration and the E.S.Co world; Sustainable City, the area that brings together urban regeneration, sustainable mobility and digital technology.

The coming months will be very important for the future of renewable energy. ´The finalization of the National Energy and Climate Plan scheduled for the end of 2019´, explains Gianni Silvestrini, chairman of the Key Energy Scientific Committee, ´will enable to outline the process of decarbonization which, according to the Government, should within 2030 generate additional investments for 180 billion euros compared with a business as usual scenario. In fact, at the end of the next decade, renewable sources will have to ensure over 55% of electricity production and from 2020 there will be an aggressive action of energy requalification of entire buildings and the assertion of electric mobility. After years of very modest growth, there is about to be an upswing destined to lead to important results in the green economy: at Key Energy it will be possible to discuss in depth the new opportunities in Italy and abroad and carefully consider the problems still to be overcome in order for the energy transition to take off completely.´

The expo area has grown. There are numerous confirmations and registrations for Key Energy: for the solar energy there are, among others, Solaredge, Coenergia/trienergia, Easyli batteries, Fronius Growatt, Goodwe, Higeco, Ingeteam, Pv-Cycle and Up Solar; for air conditioning, Teon, which manufactures heat pumps and solutions for residential applications; among those in the wind sector, Vestas, Erg, EWT Italia I.V.P.C., Idnamic Italia and Leitner Leitwind; for mobility, companies include Mennekes Italia and Scame Parre.

Meetings and in-depth coverage – Key Energy is also an event for networking among the sector´s key players and an opportunity for updating and training for all energy professionals. The 2018 program featured 60 events including conferences, workshops and training courses, 534 speakers and 2450 participants.

DPE- Distributed Power Europe, the new event for power generators. In 2019 there is the debut of DPE- Distributed Power Europe, the new IEG event providing a showcase for the technology and components of power generators, for applications for continuous power supplies, the means for producing decentralised energy when there is no grid and peak shaving. DPE will provide an in-depth insight with the technological innovations available in Italy and Europe. Confirmed participants include, among others, Coelmo and Bruno Generators, alternator manufacturers Mecc Alte and Linz Electric, motor manufacturers Volvo Penta (Volvo Group Italia) and BU Power Systems Italia.

Key Energy is being held alongside the 23rd edition of Ecomondo, the platform for the technological innovation of the circular economy, which once again this year will make Rimini the capital of the industry and the knowledge hub of the entire green world, and the States General of the Green Economy, promoted by the National Council, made up of 66 business organizations representative of the sector in Italy, in collaboration with the Ministry for the Environment, with more than 7,500 stakeholders involved between 2012 and 2018.
