Hooghiemstra Logistical Services was awarded the Green Supply Chain Award 2011 for Best Project Up to R1 million for the fleet management project at Fabucon Logistics.
The previous award winners include Gautrain, CT Utility Services, TNT, Scania, Unitrans/Pick ‘n Pay, Foschini, Chemical & Allied Industries’, Magnet Engineering and Barlow world Logistics.
This project uses the tracking technology supplied by Cartrack to ensure the fleet is managed in such a way that fuel and repairs are contained with constant risk management resulting in reduced costs and carbon saving.
