China Sourcing Fair stages 3rd year of successful edition in South Africa from Nov 28-30, 2012.
China Sourcing Fair is set to facilitate 3rd year of successful and productive sourcing platform for global buyers and suppliers at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg on November 28 to November 30, 2012.
The Fair’s December 2011 staging saw thousands of buyers checking out various quality products from Greater Chinese exhibitors.
More than providing buyers with quality suppliers and cost-effective products, the China Sourcing Fair also presented a free conference program featuring relevant topics on China sourcing for beginner and veteran entrepreneurs.
Having the largest collection of suppliers from greater China than any other trade shows in Africa, the second annual China Sourcing Fairs in Johannesburg were successfully held in Gallagher Convention Center during November 30 to December 2, 2011. The event showcased over 820 booths in total, an increase of 29% year-on-year. An extensive array of products were displayed at the show, including electronics and components, solar and energy-saving products, fashion accessories, garments and textiles, baby and children’s products, gifts and premiums, home products as well as hardware and building materials. The fair aimed to help importers, traders and big buyers from Africa source products from greater China, which they will sell in their domestic markets later.
“Africa’ trade with China is booming”, said Tommy Wong, President of Global Sources Exhibitions.
“The expansion of the China Sourcing Fairs in Johannesburg is representative of this growth.”
In total, the three-day event attracted 7,006 professional buyers, a 20% growth compared to the same period last year. These buyers were mainly from Southern Africa. They saw the trade show as a fantastic sourcing platform that ensured they find suitable suppliers and new products.
The visiting buyers gave positive feedbacks to the China Sourcing Fairs in Johannesburg. Buyers believed that the China Sourcing Fairs brought them tremendous convenience and enhanced their sourcing efficiency. Gugu Mavusd from Spring Time, a South Africa-based company, said happily,
“I have done business with Chinese suppliers before. I think it’s a good experience to have this fair in Johannesburg since we don’t have to go to China for sourcing. It’s a big opportunity for us to source in South Africa. I came here last year and had a nice experience. This time I have also met a lot of suppliers from China. I’m not going to miss this show, and I will come back again next year.”
