The new iGeyser from Metraclark is an intelligent geyser and uses heat pump technology to heat water instead of conventional electric elements. It uses a heat pump to extract heat from the air, intensifying the heat with a compressor and transfers the heat to water. The heat pump geyser delivers up to 3.8 kWh of water heating energy for every 1kWh of power input.
The iGeyser is a “stand alone” unit with both the heat pump and the water tank enclosed in a single casing, making it especially viable for the domestic and small commercial market. No lengthy refrigerant lines are needed, as is the case with split heat pumps. It has standard plumbing and electrical connections, allowing for easy installation. It has different heating modes and a set timer.
