SA’s first foray into the procurement of renewable energy has resulted in the inclusion of a healthy mix of entrepreneurial companies with limited capital who have worked hard to stay in the race, and large, mostly international technology providers with long track records. SA’s big listed construction and engineering firms, with the exception of Group Five, are conspicuous by their absence.
