NAEE 2015 Explores: Challenges Facing Nigeria energy Sector

London, 14, August 2015 – Nigeria is one of the world’s emerging markets with a population of 160 Million and less than 10,000MW on the national grid. NAEE 2015 provides a platform for discussions on the key technical and strategic challenges facing investors in the country.  President Buhari has pledged that his administration will give the fullest possible attention to boosting power supply in Nigeria He said he is  convinced that steady electricity will launch Nigeria into faster economic growth. But in order to realise the huge growth potential, both investors and government will have to rethink their strategic approach.

 

Nigeria Alternative Energy Expo (NAEE) is the leading renewable energy event in Nigeria, bringing together 800+ of the influencers, leaders and decision makers. According to the EPIA, more than 40 gigawatts (GW) of PV power systems were installed worldwide in 2014, with which the global total capacity reached approximately 177 GW last year. The leader in the solar boom is China, followed by Japan and the United States. In five short years, according to the forecast by the association, the total capacity could triple to 550 GW.

 

It has Just been confirmed that the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will open this year’s event and His Excellency Denys GAUER, French Ambassador to Nigeria, will also join the keynote speaker line-up to share his country’s experience of value bundling in emerging markets. Yingli Solar, one of the World’s leading tier 1 PV manufacturers will participate in this year’s event too.

NAEE 2015 will also host Nigeria Energy Awards to celebrate the best of Nigeria’s renewable energy market and recognize excellence amongst the most innovative products, services, solutions and applications driving the market forward.
